Bayer Leverkusen will be missing several key players through injury when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday.
In addition to long-term absentees Axel Tape and Exequiel Palacios, Malik Tillman, Nathan Tella, and Lucas Vázquez will sit out the game at the BayArena, head coach Kasper Hjulmand revealed at his pre-match press conference.
Patrik Schick and Jarell Quansah, who both missed Saturday’s 4-3 win over Mainz as well, participated in Monday’s final training session, with Leverkusen set to make a late decision on their availability.
“We’ll see tomorrow. It looks better day by day, but nothing is certain yet,” Hjulmand said of the duo.
Jonas Hofmann and Martin Terrier, who both played decisive roles against Mainz, are not registered for the Champions League and are therefore also unavailable.
