Joan Laporta, president of La Liga champions Barcelona, was on Monday spotted entering a meeting with one of football’s most high-profile agents.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Pini Zahavi as the individual in question.
Zahavi, for those not familiar with his name, is widely considered one of football’s ‘super agents’.
The Israeli currently represents the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Barcelona headmaster Hansi Flick, boasting a strong relationship with those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou.
In turn, early this week, Zahavi made his way to Catalunya’s capital for a fresh round of discussions with Joan Laporta.
Contrary to claims elsewhere, as much is not understood to have come in relation to the expiring contract terms of striker Robert Lewandowski, though.
Instead, as per Sport:
‘Zahavi was accompanied by a group of investors and several executives of his utmost confidence. The main objective of the meeting was to explore formulas to help the club in different economic aspects.’
