Hertha Berlin’s Rune Jarstein was removed from the capital club’s squad after his comments towards goalkeeper coach Andreas Menger crossed the line in a training session. Jarstein has been indefinitely suspended, but Hertha have not officially announced his contract termination. Now, the keeper has a November 1st date in labour court to protest the decision.
Sporting Director Fredi Bobic has stated that, “The contract will be terminated, there will be no turning back. – We talked like sensible people and wanted to try to get things apart cleanly at the end of the day.”
The 37-year-old has been at the club since 2014, accumulating 179 competitive appearances.
