Stuttgart have officially announced the signing of former Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou.

Dan-Axel Zagadou has officially signed his contract with Stuttgart until 2026. The 23-year-old center-back made 92 competitive appearances for Dortmund’s first team before becoming a free-agent this summer.
This is a major transfer coup for Stuttgart, who are looking to avoid another relegation scrap this season. Zagadou was linked with the likes of West Ham and Inter Milan this summer, but clubs became wary of his lengthy injury history. He will wear the number 23 shirt for Die Roten.
VfB are delighted to announce the signing of Dan-Axel #Zagadou. He’s joined the club on a contract running until 2026. 📝
