Borussia Dortmund have been dealt a blow with the news that Serhou Guirassy has been forced to withdraw from the Guinean national team squad due to injury.
The 29-year-old striker has flown back to Germany, and Dortmund will now be hoping he can recover in time for their crucial clash with Bayern Munich next week.
Guirassy was an unused substitute in Guinea’s 2-1 win over Mozambique on Thursday.
He recently missed Dortmund’s 2-0 win over Mainz in the Bundesliga after experiencing thigh problems during the warm-up – an issue that appears to have resurfaced on international duty.
