Paris FC’s long-term ambition is to compete at the top of Ligue 1, however, there are steps to be taken in order to get there. The club’s president, Pierre Ferracci is aware of that and has set what, relatively, is a modest objective.
Speaking in a Ligue 1 Plus documentary titled Paris S’Éveille, Ferracci is aware of the challenges that face Les Parisiens in their first season back in Ligue 1. Despite their newfound wealth thanks to last year’s takeover from the Arnault family and an ambitious summer transfer window, staying up is the objective.
“Establishing ourselves in Ligue 1 is the ambition. I won’t say easily because nothing is ever easy in Ligue 1,” said Ferracci, who then added that, if he were to be drawn on a position in mind, he would say 10th place.
Paris FC currently sit eighth in Ligue 1, having won three matches, lost three matches and drawn once. Les Parisiens are unbeaten in their last two Ligue 1 outings and their three wins have come in their last five games.
“With the means that the Arnault family have, the ambitions will be Europe tomorrow,” added Ferracci. But for now, that will likely have to wait.
