Napoli unlikely to face points deduction in Victor Osimhen transfer case

Napoli are not at risk of any sporting sanction in relation to Victor Osimhen’s 2020 transfer from Lille, according to a report from AreaNapoli. The outlet reports that, despite new media attention and further legal developments from the Rome prosecutor’s office, the FIGC has no plans to reopen the sporting case against the club.

Sources cited in the report emphasise that the evidence collected does not meet the threshold for disciplinary action under sporting regulations, meaning Napoli will not face penalties such as fines, point deductions, or bans. The article describes the matter as “closed once and for all,” noting that any ongoing inquiries concern only the civil or accounting aspects of the deal.

Napoli had already been cleared twice in earlier FIGC investigations into the same transfer. This latest clarification reinforces that the club’s position on the sporting front is safe — or, as the article puts it, “zero risk.”
