La Liga outfit Sevilla were on Tuesday afforded a boost on the personnel front.
This came by way of the return of a member of the club’s defensive ranks, in Tanguy Nianzou, to first-team training.
Stopper Nianzou has for his part been sidelined since late last month.
This comes after the Frenchman suffered a hamstring injury en route to Sevilla’s 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Villarreal.
Nianzou, in turn, was forced to sit out each of the Nervionenses’ last three fixtures.
As alluded to above, though, on Tuesday, the 23-year-old took a significant step back towards competitive duties.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Matías Almeyda, after giving his team a rest on Monday, led a session in which the main newcomer was Tanguy Nianzou, who partially trained with the group after being injured in the match against Villarreal.’
Nianzou, in turn, looks set to be given the medical green light to return to the pitch in Sevilla’s post-international break meeting with Mallorca.
