After the withdrawal of Bradley Barcola from the senior side, another Paris Saint-Germain forward has been forced to withdraw from the France squad with injury.
Barcola turned up to Clairefontaine on Monday afternoon, scans in hand, evidencing a hamstring injury. He was quickly sent back from whence he came and will play no part for Les Bleus during the current international break.
Baticle weighing up Mayulu replacement
The same applies to Senny Mayulu. The PSG academy product was also present on Monday in order to join up with France U21 side. He too showed signs of a thigh injury, having come off just before the hour mark during Sunday night’s draw against Lille OSC.
The FFF then confirmed on Monday night that, like Barcola, Mayulu had been sent home from the camp and will rejoin PSG. Gérald Baticle’s side are currently considering whether to call up a replacement for the departed Titi Parisien.
