Como’s sporting director Carlalberto Ludi has responded cautiously to rumours linking Nico Paz with a move to Real Madrid, emphasising local affection for the player rather than confirming external interest.
Relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, Ludi spoke to Sky Sport ahead of the match at Bergamo, hinting that the rumours — while understandable — may be overstated.
Ludi stated: “As you say, the market never ends. We are working and thinking. Real Madrid have many talented players in that role, but Nico Paz has a community and a club that love him. We’ll see if that’s enough.”
On further questions about squad decisions, Ludi added that Paz and teammate Martin have different attributes, insisting that Baturina is part of a learning process. He reaffirmed Como’s vision: “We have signed Nico Paz, Perrone and Ramon, not a copy of someone else. We aim to build our own future stars.”
Real Madrid have the option to sign Paz for a cheap fee in the summer. Reports have suggested that they are keen on the possibility, but a lot of time is left and a lot of water can still pass under the bridge.
