After sustaining an ankle injury against Union Berlin last Sunday, Hamburger SV have confirmed that Warmed Omari will be out for several weeks.
A hospital scan revealed that the 25-year-old, who started all six of HSV’s competitive matches so far this season, suffered a torn lateral ligament in the German capital.
The extensive examinations carried out at the UKE Athleticum clarified that Omari will therefore be out for the remainder of the first half of the 2025/26 season.
Meanwhile, Fabio Vieira will also need to gradually increase his workload after he picked up an injury in the closing stages of the same game at the Stadion an der Alten Försterei.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who started three consecutive games since his move to Hamburg, suffered a severe knee sprain and will begin a slow, pain-adapted increase in strength.
However, the Portuguese star would not have been available for HSV in their upcoming fixtures against Mainz and RB Leipzig – he can recover while serving his two-game suspension for a red card.
