Week 4 of the NFL season delivered numerous breakout performances by players across the league. And, with that, several franchises got back on track after concerning starts.
In particular, the Kansas City Chiefs and
Houston Texans secured critical wins to catch up to their divisional leaders.
These teams, along with a few others, have more than a couple of stars who made a lot of NFL Fantasy Football owners breathe a huge sigh of relief.
GIVEMESPORT has ultimately identified ten players who delivered the most impressive and surprising fantasy performances this week, despite slow starts to their 2025 campaigns.
10
Jaxson Dart
The New York Giants made the bold move to start rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart against an undefeated
Los Angeles Chargers team. And head coach Brian Daboll‘s gamble more than paid off.
The 22-year-old showcased his dual-threat ability, scoring as both passer and rusher in the 21-18 victory. Dart’s career-high before this weekend was 0.3 fantasy points, so his 19.8-point outing against one of the best defenses in the NFL gives him the edge among quarterbacks.
9
Xavier Worthy
The Kansas City Chiefs are a much more dangerous team with a healthy Xavier Worthy. The second-year wideout missed two straight games with a shoulder injury, but now he’s back, adding a new dimension to Andy Reid‘s offense.
Worthy caught eight passes for 83 yards while racking up 38 yards as a rusher, scoring 17.1 total fantasy points. Patrick Mahomes subsequently had his best game of the season by far, and now the Chiefs are back to being a Super Bowl contender after their 37-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
8
Darren Waller
After more than a year of inactivity, Darren Waller is back in the NFL. And the former Pro Bowl tight end made an instant impact for the Miami Dolphins.
Waller caught three passes for 27 yards and two touchdowns in the 27-21 victory. The 33-year-old put up 17.7 points on the evening, announcing his return in emphatic fashion.
7
George Pickens
The Dallas Cowboys pulled off a surprising 40-40 tie against the
Green Bay Packers in a widely anticipated Sunday Night Football clash.
Micah Parsons‘ return to AT&T Stadium was spoiled by a phenomenal offensive showing by Dak Prescott and company. George Pickens was the player of the game, scoring 33.4 fantasy points on eleven catches for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
6
Marvin Mims Jr.
Marvin Mims Jr.isn’t usually the first target Bo Nix scans the field for when dropping back, but the third-year wideout had an excellent 20.5-point showing against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The former Oklahoma standout was dangerous in the air as well as on the ground, finding the end zone on a 16-yard rushing touchdown. Mims. Jr’s previous high this season was 10.4 points.
The Denver Broncos would be wise to feature the young wideout in a more prominent role going forward as they look to take that good-to-great jump.
5
Justice Hill
Derrick Henry is the feature running back for the Baltimore Ravens, but the future Hall of Famer’s backup, Justice Hill, is increasingly getting a larger role in this offense.
In Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the sixth-year tailback had eight total touches for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Hill’s previous fantasy season-high was 7.5 points in Week 3, but after Week 4, it’s now 28.7 points.
4
Romeo Doubs
Romeo Doubs has long been a sleeper fantasy pick, especially considering the Green Bay Packers’ injury woes at wide receiver. The fourth-year wideout more than doubled his season-high point total at 29.8.
Doubs only needed 58 total receiver yards to reach this monster number due to his three touchdown receptions. Green Bay’s offense did its job on Sunday night, but unfortunately, one of the league’s best defenses was destroyed by the Dallas Cowboys in this 40-40 tie.
3
Ashton Jeanty
Many Fantasy Football managers were stressing about Ashton Jeanty, who was a first-round pick in most leagues. The rookie running back was struggling to evade defenders like he did in college, largely due to several poor performances from the Las Vegas Raiders‘ offensive line.
Fortunately, this unit was terrific in the 25-24 loss to the Chicago Bears, and Jeanty took full advantage of it, posting over 150 total yards and three touchdowns. Hopefully, these games won’t be a rarity for the No. 6 overall pick from the 2025 draft.
2
Kenneth Gainwell
Kenneth Gainwell answered the call for the Pittsburgh Steelers in their 24-21 win over the
Minnesota Vikings. The second-string tailback filled in for starter Jaylen Warren and racked up 134 total yards and two touchdowns, earning 31.4 fantasy points.
That score surpassed Gainwell’s previous season high by more than 20 points. The Steelers’ RB1 position is not set in stone, so there is a decent chance that Gainwell will get more reps in the near future. Especially after this performance.
1
Woody Marks
Woody Marks was a fourth-round pick of USC this past draft, and now has a huge opportunity to be the running back of the future for the Houston Texans.
The 24-year-old got the majority of the carries over Nick Chubb on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, rushing for 69 yards while recording 50 receiving yards.
Marks had two touchdowns in the 26-0 win, putting up 27.9 fantasy points, 21.8 points more than his previous career-high.
