Hamburger SV will have to make do without midfielder Fábio Vieira for their next two Bundesliga games, the club have announced.
The DfB sports court came to the decision after his dangerous challenge on Leo Querfeld during last Sunday’s 0-0 draw with 1.FC Union Berlin.
As a result, the Portuguese star will be unavailable for next Sunday’s game against Mainz and against RB Leipzig on October 18.
Meanwhile, an official diagnosis on Warmed Omari’s injury is unknown but it appears that the he will be sidelined for the time being.
The Comoros international twisted his ankle when he commited to a tackle on Sunday evening, 15 minutes before the end of the game.
Omari returned to Hamburg with his teammates initially, but he was examined on Monday at Eppendorf University Hospital.
