Jonas Urbig completed his first training exercises this morning, September 29, on a side pitch at Säbener Straße.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper suffered a torn muscle fiber in his adductor muscles during training last week.
It was initially assumed that he would be out for three weeks, however updates suggest this period could now be shortened.
Urbig could return to the FC Bayern squad as early as Saturday’s top spiel match against Eintracht Frankfurt next Saturday evening.
However, tomorrow’s Champions League trip to Cypriot side Paphos FC comes too soon for the young shot-stopper.
As a result, 18-year-old Leon Klanac will be called up as third choice behind Manuel Neuer and second option Sven Ulreich.
