Real Madrid are looking to re-sign Como star Nico Paz, who has been making considerable waves in Serie A.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder left Madrid last year to join the newly promoted Serie A club in a deal worth €6 million and has since made an outstanding impact.
Paz was instrumental in Cesc Fabregas’ side punching above their weight and playing an attractive brand of football last season.
He ended the campaign with six goals and nine assists, while being named Serie A Best U-23 star.
The Argentine international has started the 2025/26 season even more impressively, bagging two goals and an assist in three games.
Paz’s scintillating form has caught Madrid’s attention. They want to trigger his €10m buy option, which will become valid next summer.
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are two more clauses in the Argentine’s contract. Madrid passed up a €9m buy-back option this summer, but they can avail a €11m clause in 2027.
The former Castilla star rejected an offer from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer as he wanted to continue his progress in Italy before returning to Madrid.
Madrid already have youngsters Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono in their squad, meaning the competition will only get tougher for Paz if he returns.
