Exequiel Palacios has undergone surgery on the serious adductor injury he sustained during Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.
The midfielder confirmed on Instagram that the injury will keep him out for the remainder of the year.
“I wanted to let you know that over the weekend I suffered an injury that will keep me out for the rest of the year,” Palacios stated.
“Today I can say that the surgery went well, thank God. Now it’s time to recover and get back to doing what I’ve always dreamed of – playing football. I have no doubt that the best is yet to come… always moving forward.”
Palacios, 26, has made 162 appearances for Leverkusen, scoring 15 goals and providing 16 assists.
