Earlier this week, VfL Wolfsburg confirmed the signing of former Manchester United and Tottenham star Christian Eriksen on a two-year deal.
According to Bild (via Fusballtransfers), the Denmark international has taken a significant pay cut compared to his three years at Manchester United, where he reportedly earned around €10 million per season before his contract expired at the end of last season.
Eriksen is said to have accepted a gross annual salary of €3.5 million at Wolfsburg, where Maximilian Arnold remains the top earner with an annual salary of around €5 million.
The 33-year-old Dane could potentially make his debut against 1. FC Köln on Saturday.
