A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Barcelona is expected to be afforded his first competitive appearance for the club this weekend.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Roony Bardghji as the player in question.
Youngster Bardghji is for his part of course fresh off what has been a difficult start to the season in Catalunya’s capital.
After being snapped up in a cut-price move from FC Copenhagen, the 19-year-old was forced to watch on from afar for each of Barcelona’s first three La Liga fixtures.
This came after the ongoing financial problems at the Camp Nou left Bardghji unregistered for La Liga play.
Earlier this month, however, the situation changed.
After deadline day activity opened up the necessary space on Barca’s wage bill, the club’s new winger was at last officially registered for domestic play.
And as alluded to above, as much looks set to culminate in a debut for Bardghji this weekend.
As per a report from Sport:
‘After the lull of this break and with Newcastle in the Champions League debut on the horizon, Roony has serious options to accumulate minutes against Valencia.’
