AS Monaco loanee Alexander Nübel will not be returning to Bayern to sit on the bench.
Alexander Nübel has no intention of returning to Bayern München at the end of the season if Manuel Neuer is still there.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper, whose loan at Monaco expires at the end of the season, told Kicker:
“I’m currently very happy here and feel a huge confidence. And Monaco is no small address in Europe.
“There’s no way I’m considering coming back if ‘Manu’ is still there. I certainly won’t do that, I can rule out sitting on the bench at Bayern again.
“With my performances, something is opening up in Monaco, and elsewhere as well. If I keep up my performances, there are options, whether in Monaco, at FC Bayern or elsewhere. I’m relaxed about it.”
Nübel has featured 59 times for Monaco since joining the club on loan in the summer of 2021.
