Nico Schlotterbeck has taken another step forward in his recovery from the long-term injury he suffered last season.
Five months after tearing his meniscus, the centre-back returned to parts of team training on Wednesday, Borussia Dortmund confirmed.
It is still unclear when Schlotterbeck will be ready to take part in full team training and make his competitive comeback for BVB.
After it was initially feared he could be sidelined until late October, more recent reports have pointed to a possible return to action by the end of September.
