Cash, jewelry and more valuables were stolen from Thomas Müller’s Munich villa around 10 pm last night, according to Bild. An investigation is pending, but there is no trace of the burglars at this time. It’s now understood that this is why Müller did not partake in his post-game press conference.
It was looking like an incredible night for the veteran forward and his team, as it was Müller’s 33rd birthday and Bayern had just defeated Barcelona-led Robert Lewandowski 2-0 at home. Two perpetrators were reported fleeing the scene, but police have not caught the suspects.
It’s reported that cash and valuables worth in the mid six-digit range were stolen.
Bayern’s Thomas Müller didn’t do any post-match interviews last night with good reason. Müller suffered a burglary at his villa during the Barcelona game. Oberbayern Süd police say cash, jewelry & items of value were taken in the value of “mid six figures.”
