PSG centre-back Presnel Kimpembe (30) has left his formative club to sign for Qatar Sport Club, the Champions League winners have announced. Kimpembe joined PSG at the age of 10. The centre-back went on to win 20 trophies with Les Parisiens, including the Champions League. He featured 241 times for the Ligue 1 champions. His departure marks the end of an era as PSG labelled him a club legend.
PSG were looking to offload Kimpembe. It has been two-and-a-half years since the 2018 World Cup winner suffered an Achilles injury that sidelined him for almost two whole years. Since making a return to football in 2025, the PSG Academy graduate has, however, failed to regularly feature for Les Parisiens. PSG notably omitted Kimpembe from the team’s UEFA Champions League squad.
