After completing a €20 million move from OGC Nice near the end of the transfer window, 20-year-old Badredine Bouanani made his first appearance for VfB Stuttgart in a 6-2 friendly win over Sonnenhof Großaspach on Wednesday.
Bouanani scored in the win and displayed his ability on the ball, impressing his new boss.
“Badredine is a very good footballer,” said Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß after the game.
“We knew that, and it was evident today. For just one day of training with the team, he played very refreshingly.”
The young winger scored five goals and provided seven assists in 70 appearances for Nice.
