Chelsea are set to return for Stoke City defender Jaden Dixon after failing to seal a move for him on deadline day.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Blues held discussions with the Championship outfit over a move for the teenager on deadline day.
But the two clubs could not reach an agreement and the England Under-18 international will stay at Stoke.
Chelsea could return for Dixon in the January transfer window.
The 18-year-old began his career with Tottenham Hotspur before moving to Stoke in 2023. He has already made six appearances for the Championship side.
Dixon made his England Under-18 debut against Portugal in October 2024 and has now racked up 11 appearances at that level.
He mainly plays in central defence but can also operate as a left-back and a right-back.
Chelsea had an excellent summer transfer window, bolstering key areas of their squad.
They won the transfer race for highly-rated striker Liam Delap before adding Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho to their attack.
Estevao and Jorrel Hato are other exciting young talents expected to play a pivotal role for Chelsea.
