FC Augsburg booked a deadline-day medical check for Ismaël Gharbi.
FC Augsburg are preparing for yet another transfer masterclass on a deadline day. The club signed Chrislain Matsima and Alexis Claude-Maurice last summer from Ligue 1, and they were the best players of the team in their debut season.
The Bavarians are now looking for a similar effect with Ismaël Gharbi, who was once a big prospect at PSG. Gharbi joined Braga on a free transfer last year, and he has played 38 games for the Portuguese club.
Sky now report that Augsburg have a full agreement with both Braga and the player to sign him on an initial loan deal. The 21-year-old winger will complete his medical on deadline day as Augsburg will have an “option to buy” at the end of the season.
