After Chelsea’s change of heart regarding Nicolas Jackson, Bayern are turning their attention towards the reigning African Player of the Year.
Ademola Lookman is added to Bayern Munich’s wishlist as the club are working hard to finalize a deal for one more attacker. The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports the club approached Atalanta for an initial loan deal.
The Nigerian striker was close to joining Inter this summer, but the Champions League finalists failed to match Atalanta’s €50 million valuation. There are still lots of clubs interested in signing the 27-year-old before the window shuts tomorrow.
Sky and Bild also confirmed the news that Bayern had sent a loan offer. Sky’s Florian Plettenberg mentioned that Galatasaray and Tottenham Hotspur provide competition for Bayern. The Bavarians are giving up on the Nicolas Jackson deal after Chelsea opened the door for a loan transfer following Liam Delap’s injury.
