Manchester United have reached an agreement with Napoli that will see Rasmus Hojlund join the Serie A giants on loan with a view to a permanent £38 million move.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the two clubs have a verbal agreement in place for Hojlund to head to Antonio Conte’s Azzurri initially on loan. The Danish striker has been exiled from Ruben Amorim’s first-team after failing to win the Portuguese coach over last season.
Hojlund wanted to stay and “fight” for his place at United despite Benjamin Sesko’s arrival earlier this month. But he was left out of games against Arsenal and Fulham with the Red Devils looking to offload him.
