FC Bayern face the risk of losing Dayot Upamecano on a free next summer, with Real Madrid reportedly keeping tabs on the defender.
Bayern Munich have long been trying to extend Dayot Upamecano’s contract, which runs until the summer of 2026.
However, talks are reportedly on hold at the moment due to differing salary expectations.
According to Sport Bild, Real Madrid are monitoring the situation and may look to sign Upamecano on a free transfer next summer.
Bayern faced a similar situation in 2021, when David Alaba left as a free agent to join Real.
Interestingly, Upamecano could be brought in to replace Alaba, whose contract runs until 2026. Antonio Rüdiger’s contract with the Spanish capital club expires next summer too.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are also reportedly keeping an eye on Upamecano, who joined Bayern from Leipzig for a reported €42.5 million in 2021.
