RC Strasbourg Alsace expect Premier League side Nottingham Forest FC to submit a third bid for in-demand winger Dilane Bakwa (22), according to L’Equipe. The 22-year-old is expected to leave Liam Rosenior’s Alsatians this summer. Talks remain underway between the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side and the Tricky Trees. Nottingham Forest reportedly submitted two bids for Bakwa, and the most lucrative for Strasbourg was worth €31m with add-ons.
Still, Strasbourg, who won their first two Ligue 1 games against Metz (1-0) and Nantes (1-0) are holding out for a €35m transfer fee. Strasbourg expect Nottingham Forest to return with a third bid, which may very well tip the balance towards Bakwa’s exit. Despite their BlueCo-powered financial might, with more than €100m spent in signings this summer, Strasbourg need to sell players to comply with Ligue 1 and UEFA’s financial fair-play.
