In addition to Tottenham, Arsenal have reportedly contacted Bayer Leverkusen regarding Piero Hincapié.
Arsenal appear ready to challenge Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié.
Earlier on Monday, reports emerged that Tottenham had made an offer to sign the Ecuadorian defender on loan with an obligation to buy.
Now, several sources, such as The Athletic, Fabrizio Romano and the Daily Mail, claim that Arsenal have also contacted Leverkusen regarding the 23-year-old.
Hincapié reportedly prefers a move to Arsenal, but the deal is contingent on outgoing transfers at the club. Jakub Kiwior could be on his way to Porto, while Oleksandr Zinchenko has been linked with Fenerbahce among others.
The defender’s release clause is set at €60 million, but Arsenal are reportedly hoping to negotiate a lower fee.
