Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa is continuing to attract plenty of interest towards the end of the summer transfer window, CaughtOffside understands.
As many as six clubs have been mentioned by well-placed sources in the industry during our latest efforts to better understand the Italy international’s situation.
Chiesa scored an important late goal for Liverpool in their 4-2 opening day win over Bournemouth, but there’s still a chance he’ll leave Anfield before the transfer deadline.
Sources named AC Milan, Atalanta, Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma, and Fulham as clubs considering Chiesa.
It is also our understanding that internal discussions have taken place about offering Chiesa to Newcastle United as part of talks over Alexander Isak.
Federico Chiesa could end up being key to Liverpool unlocking the Alexander Isak transfer deal

It remains to be seen if Newcastle would accept anything but a huge fee for Isak, but it seems LFC are prepared to at least consider trying to offer them players as part of the overall package as well.
The Magpies have already strengthened in attack with the signing of Anthony Elanga this summer, but Chiesa could also be seen as a tempting option.
Even if the 27-year-old has struggled for playing time at Liverpool, he was previously very highly rated at his former club Juventus.
There is a lot of interest in bringing him back to Serie A as he remains well-regarded back in his native Italy.
It is worth emphasising, however, that Chiesa himself is not desperate to leave Liverpool.
Arne Slot has not found much room for him so far, but there will likely still be a role for him as a squad player or backup.
The situation remains open, and it will be one to keep an eye on towards the end of the window as there are plenty of options there for the player if he decides to leave.
