Here are the teams for Mainz’s first European game since 2016.
Bo Henriksen has confirmed his lineup for the first-leg of a European Conference League playoff tie against Rosenborg. Mainz started their season on Monday with a narrow win in Dresden to book a place in the second round of the DFB-Pokal.
Before their first home game of the campaign against Köln on Sunday, Mainz will now face Norwegian side Rosenborg. Mainz reported that three wheels of the team’s bus were stolen by an unknown individual in Trondheim today.
But they fixed the issue now as the team headed into Lerkendal Stadion. Henriksen made three changes from the Pokal tie with Anthony Caci and Phillipp Mwene return to the starting lineup as the wingbacks. Lee Jae-sung is fit enough to start alongside Benedict Hollerbach and Paul Nebel in attack.
