Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann has revealed that Lucas Hernandez and Marcel Sabitzer will both start against FC Barcelona in the Champions League tomorrow.
Nagelsmann is set to make a number of changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Stuttgart last Saturday, with Hernandez and Sabitzer among those that will come into the starting eleven.
“I’ve already decided on a lot of positions, but there’s still a question mark in central defence. Lucas will play, but I’m not sure who will play next to him yet. Upamecano has had a few more duels with Lewandowski and has already defended well against him. But I haven’t made a final decision on that yet,” Nagelsmann told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
“‘Sabitzer will play alongside Kimmich. With regard to Leon [Goretzka], we decided that he would play the full game against Stuttgart. He feels the strain, so it would be too early for him to start again tomorrow. ‘Sabi’ is important defensively and I’m happy he’s in good form.”
