Minnesota Close to Oluwaseyi Sale

Villarreal are closing in on a deal to sign Canadian international forward Tani Oluwaseyi from Minnesota United, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

An agreement in principle has been reached, though final details still need to be sorted. The fee is believed to be in the ballpark of $7.5 million.

Oluwaseyi, 25, has 15 caps with Canada.

The forward is in the midst of his career-best MLS season, with 12 goals and eight assists in just over 2,000 minutes across all competitions.

Montréal finalizing deal to sign Spanish attacker

CF Montréal are finalizing a deal to sign Spanish attacking midfielder Ivan Jamie on loan from FC Porto, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

The deal is a loan with a purchase option, sources add. Matteo Moretto first reported the deal.

Jamie, 24, spent last season on loan at Valencia. He was acquired by Porto in 2023 for a reported $10 million fee. He hasn’t had regular playing time the last few seasons but he did have 9g/4a in under 2,000 minutes in 2022-23.

The Colorado Rapids are finalizing a deal to sign USMNT attacker Paxten Aaronson from Eintracht Frankfurt, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

The deal is a club-record $7 million fee, plus another $1.5 million in potential add-ons, per sources. Aaronson has agreed a DP deal and is currently en route to Colorado to finalize the move ahead of the transfer window closing on Thursday night.

The news was exclusively revealed by GIVEMESPORT on Thursday night.

Aaronson, 21, left the Philadelphia Union for Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 for an initial deal worth $4 million plus add-ons. He excelled on loan at FC Utrecht last season, where he had nine goals and six assists.

The rising attacker has made four senior appearances with the USMNT.

Revs Finalizing Deal for Israeli Forward

The New England Revolution are finalizing a deal to sign Israel international forward Dor Turgeman from Maccabi Tel Aviv, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

The Revolution will pay a fee of $5.5 million, and Turgeman will be registered as a U-22 initiative player, sources add.

Turgeman, 21, has 32 goals and 10 assists in 114 appearances in all competitions for Maccabi Tel Aviv. He has 10 caps for the Israel national team, scoring once.

Rapids Closing in on Aaronson

The Colorado Rapids are in advanced talks a deal to sign U.S. international attacker Paxten Aaronson from Eintracht Frankfurt, sources tell GIVEMESPORT. A deal is close, but the final details are being ironed out.

Colorado have agreed a potential club-record fee with Frankfurt, sources say. A number of European clubs have been pushing to sign Aaronson, but the Rapids are close to finalizing the deal.

Cincinnati, USMNT’s Robinson agree new deal

FC Cininnati and USMNT center back Miles Robinson have agreed to a new, long-term contract, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

The deal keeps Robinson in Cincy through 2027 with a club option for 2028. Robinson’s previous deal was set to expire this winter.

Robinson, 28, initially joined Cincy via free agency ahead of the 2024 season. He was the most sought-after free agent on the market and opted to sign with Cincy on an initial deal that was guaranteed for one year with an option for a second. Now, he commits his long-term future to the club.

The American defender is viewed as one of the best center backs in MLS by fans and league executives alike. He began his professional career with Atlanta United.

Cincy are tied for the Supporters’ Shield lead.

Minnesota place bids for U-22 winger and Algeria international

Minnesota United remain busy ahead of the window closing, with bids out now for three key attacking targets.

The club are closing in on Austrian attacking midfielder Dominik Fitz from Austria Vienna, as previously revealed by GIVEMESPORT, but they also have bids out for two more additions: Algeria international winger Billal Brahimi (OGC Nice) and South Africa international winger Relebohile Mofokeng (Orlando Pirates).

Brahimi, 25, has four caps with Algeria. He joined Nice in 2022 for a reported fee around $7 million and spent last season on loan in Belgium with Sint-Truiden.

Mofokeng, 20, already has 10 caps with South Africa. He is a rising talent breaking through his country’s domestic league and would be a potential U-22 initiative signing. Minnesota’s bid is north of $2 million.

Chicago Making Changes on Defense

Waterman Montreal Ref

The Chicago Fire FC are finalizing the acquisition of center-back Joel Waterman from CF Montréal, sources tell GIVEMESPORT. Montréal will receive $500,000 in GAM, plus $100,000 in add-ons.

Waterman, 29, has made 18 appearances for Montreal this season, and has been at the club since 2020. He has 10 caps with the Canadian national team.

The Fire are also finalizing the sale of defender Carlos Teran to Brazilian Serie B side Athletico Paranaense, sources also tell GIVEMESPORT. Teran, 24, has made 87 MLS appearances with Chicago since joining in 2020.

Malanda Secures Championship Move

EFL Championship side Middlesbrough have secured a deal for Charlotte FC center-back Adilson Malanda, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

Charlotte will receive $8 million plus add-ons, sources add. They will also retain a sell-on clause.

Malanda will remain in Charlotte on loan until January. The 23-year-old has made 94 regular-season appearances for Charlotte since joining in 2022.

Minnesota Signing Attacking Midfielder

Minnesota United are nearing a deal to sign Austrian attacking midfielder Dominik Fitz from Austria Vienna.

Fitz, 26, had 13 goals and 16 assists in just under 3,000 mins last year. He already has four goals and five assists in 600 mins this year.
