Demand for the midfielder appears to be growing as another team enters the race for the Argentinean.
Bayer Leverkusen’s summer of departures may not be over just yet with a new club interested in Exequiel Palacios.
As Sacha Tavolieri reports, Al-Ahli is an admirer of the midfielder and the Saudi Arabian side has already contacted the player’s representatives.
However, the report clearly states that Die Werkself demand a fee of €45million for the 2022 World Cup winner.
The 26-year-old has been with Leverkusen since 2020 and has mostly been a regular in central midfield in recent years.
The Argentine excels particularly with his ball control and passing ability, attracting further attention from the Premier League and La Liga.
An exit is still considered unlikely this close to the Bundesliga’s return and having already sold Granit Xhaka to Sunderland this summer.
