The 19-year-old star has already made 10 appearances for Argentina’s U-23’s.
Claudio Echeverri to Bayer Leverkusen is a done deal, as reported by Sky Germany this afternoon, August 19.
Borussia Dortmund submitted an official offer, but have now been informed that Echeverri will join fellow Bundesliga side Leverkusen.
A full agreement has been reached with Manchester City following the prior verbal agreement with the 19-year-old playmaker.
It’s a one-year loan without an option to buy. Medical scheduled shortly once the final paperwork is completed.
According to Kicker.de, Echeverri is expected to line out in the offensive right half-space of Erik ten Hag’s 3-4-3 system behind the striker.
Echeverri already demonstrated his talents at the FIFA Club World Cup, scoring a free kick in the Citizens’ 6-0 win over Al-Ain on June 22.
