The central defender has taken on a big role for Die Rekordmeister despite his short time at the club to date.
Jonathan Tah has been directly appointed to FC Bayern Munich’s team council, Sky Germany have reported this evening, August 18.
The 29-year-old centre-half takes his place on the council alongside Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich and Harry Kane.
Bayern are already impressed by his performances — Tah is immediately seen as the new defensive leader and a key figure.
Only last week before the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, Tah was asked about whether he would take on a leadership role.
Although he said he was a leader by nature, the Hamburg native demanded every member of the Bayern squad shows leadership qualities.
Since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer this summer, it’s clear the German international has already left a big impression.
