Rennes are pursuing a move for Sporting CP striker Conrad Harder (20), according to a report from L’Equipe. Les Rouge et Noir are in the market for a centre-forward after parting ways with Arnaud Kalimuendo. The France youth international has undergone a medical with Nottingham Forest to complete his €33m move to the Premier League side.
In their quest to replace Kalimuendo, Rennes have reportedly identified Harder as an ideal fit. The Denmark international joined Sporting CP from Nordsjaelland in a €19m move last summer. Harder was Viktor Gyokeres’ understudy in Lisbon last year. The versatile Harder has logged 11 goals and seven assists in 49 appearances. Talks are reportedly underway between Rennes and Sporting CP.
