The first-team squad at La Liga giants Barcelona were on Tuesday visited by Spanish football’s Technical Committee of Referees.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Barcelona, and all other clubs in Spain’s top-flight, are of course currently in the thick of final preparations for their respective season openers this weekend.
Hansi Flick’s squad, in turn, reconvened at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper early this morning, ahead of an intense day of training.
As alluded to above, though, during initial preparations, the Blaugrana were required to delay their training start.
This came owing to a visit on the part of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA).
As much was a routine meeting, held every year prior to the start of the new La Liga campaign, with Sport having confirmed that:
‘The referees presented the main updates to the regulations and answered questions about the refereeing criteria, including the use of VAR.’
