Die Adler have sold their second high-profile striker after Omar Marmoush last January.
Liverpool have officially announced the signing of Hugo Ekitiké from Eintracht Frankfurt, both clubs have announced.
The French marksman joins the Reds for €95million making him Frankfurt’s joint-highest record sale.
Ekitiké looked close to joining fellow English side Newcastle United before the reigning Premier League champions swooped.
His 15 goals and 8 assists last season helped Frankfurt back into the Champions League, before signing a deal at Liverpool until 2031.
The 23-year-old initially joined Die Adler on loan in February 2024 before the purchase option of €16.5million was activated.
This is Liverpool’s third signing from the Bundesliga following the earlier arrivals of Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.
