Following Montpellier’s relegation to Ligue 2, winger Tanguy Coulibaly (24) is expected to move on this summer – but not to the United States. The former Stuttgart man, who came through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain, showed flashes of his potential during a strong second half of the 2024/25 campaign in Ligue 1, despite La Paillade’s eventual drop.
According to a report from Foot Mercato, Coulibaly has turned down an approach from FC Dallas, who had sounded him out over a move to Major League Soccer. The Frenchman, however, has opted to keep his options open as he waits for offers that align more closely with his sporting ambitions.
Coulibaly scored 2 goals in 13 appearances after arriving at Montpellier in January and remains keen on staying in a top European league if the opportunity presents itself.
