Incoming Barcelona signing Marcus Rashford is set to join Blaugrana icon Gerard Piqué in an altogether exclusive club upon penning terms at the Camp Nou.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Monday provided an insight into precisely why.
Frontman Rashford is of course set to be unveiled as the latest member of Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad at any moment.
This comes after a rapid round of negotiations between the La Liga champions and Manchester United over the weekend culminated in an agreement surrounding the terms of a loan deal for the season ahead.
Rashford, in turn, is expected to put pen to paper on a contract in Catalunya’s capital at some point in the next 24 hours.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the 27-year-old will secure for himself a piece of transfer history.
As revealed by Sport, Rashford is primed to become just the third player ever to sign for Barcelona from Manchester United.
The only other two? Gerard Piqué, and Mark Hughes.
