Manchester United and Newcastle United are both keen to sign Randal Kolo Muani and have made contact over a move, according to Foot Mercato.
Kolo Muani spent the latter half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Juventus, where he scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 22 appearances across all competitions.
Unsurprisingly, Juve would like to prolong the Frenchman’s stay in Turin to partner him with new arrival Jonathan David. However, the Old Lady will now have to fend off some Premier League competition.
Despite having signed Matheus Cunha and recently agreeing a deal for Bryan Mbeumo, Manchester United are still working on more attacking acquisitions, with a new striker high on the Red Devils’ agenda.
Ruben Amorim’s side were one of the suitors for Hugo Ekitike, but with the Eintracht Frankfurt man now set to join Liverpool, United are pivoting to other targets, one of which is Kolo Muani.
Newcastle were also keen on Ekitike and are wasting no time shifting their attention elsewhere, especially with Alexander Isak’s future still uncertain amid interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Alongside Yoane Wissa, Kola Muani is now a transfer candidate at St. James’ Park as Newcastle aim to bolster their ranks ahead of a return to Champions League football.
Paris Saint-Germain would ideally like to sanction a permanent sale or a loan with an obligation to buy for Kolo Muani, and it remains to be seen which of the interested parties will be able to match the Ligue 1 outfit’s demands.
