According to a report from L’Équipe, Bryan Mbeumo (25) is set to sign a 5-year contract plus the option of an additional year at Manchester United. This development arrives after a €81m bid was accepted by Brentford for the services of the Cameroonian international attacker.
Several Premier League clubs were interested in signing the former Troyes forward. Newcastle United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were all interested in signing the 25-year-old, but he made it clear that he only wanted to move to Old Trafford.
After a fee was agreed between Brentford and United, Mbeumo is now set to travel and complete his medical. The Manchester club hope to have the services of Mbeumo for their preseason tour of Asia. The Brentford attacker is set to become the 20-time English champions’ 6th most expensive signing of all time.
