Championship side Watford complete the signing of Nestory Irankunda from Bayern Munich.
Nestory Irankunda leaves Bayern Munich on a permanent transfer to Watford. The Australian international spent his solitary season in Bayern with the amateur squad and a loan spell at Grasshoppers.
“Nestory has repeatedly demonstrated his great potential with our amateurs and then with Grasshoppers in Zurich,” said Jochen Sauer, Director of Youth Development and Campus at Bayern.
Sauer also confirmed that they’ll keep a close eye on him as Bayern have a buyback option for the player they signed from Adelaide United for €900k. Watford signed the youngster on a five-year deal.
“Nestory can be a very special player and we believe he can realise his potential here, with us,” said Watford’s Sporting Director Gian Luca Nani.
