The newly promoted Serie A club is once again attempting to pull some talent from the Bundesrepublik.
SC Pisa have shown concrete interest in Mainz forward Marco Richter, according to Sky Germany’s Dennis Bayer.
It is believed the 27-year-old is keen to leave Die Nullfünfer who look unlikely to guarantee him regular playing time.
Similarly, the Bundesliga club would like to get Richter off the books; however they would also be willing to accept a loan.
The German spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Hamburger SV where he bagged a goal and 2 assists in 27 games.
Richter emerged from the Bayern Munich and Augsburg academies before leaving the latter for Hertha Berlin and signed for Mainz in 2023.
Meanwhile, it’s not the first time Pisa has shown interest in Germany this summer – they are also courting Düsseldorf’s Jamil Siebert.
