Seth Rollins was visibly distraught following an untimely knee injury during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Rollins looked on course for an impressive win over LA Knight on Saturday, but an awkward landing off a Springboard Moonsault would change the course of the night, and possibly the next few months in WWE.
As the current holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase, Rollins was in a great position to cement his place at the top of the promotion, aided by his and Paul Heyman’s new faction. His future outlook now, however, is up in the air after what looked like a serious injury to his knee.

It’s a legitimate knee injury, which could rule him out for some time
At the time of the incident, fans were debating the legitimacy of the knock, with some asking whether it was part of the script. However, it was later reported that the rest of the show required significant improvisation after a genuine spanner was thrown in the works.

Seth Rollins’ History With Injuries
The Architect has had to deal with serious injuries before
The 39-year-old has every right to feel frustrated as yet another injury kills his momentum at a crucial point. He has experienced serious knee injuries in the past as well as a long-term back problem, and his chequered health history has been a significant obstacle for him in reaching and staying among the upper echelon of Superstars.
One positive he may be able to take from this is that the recency of his MITB win may give him enough of a window to make a full recovery and return in time to cash in for a chance at the title. WWE standard practice would suggest a surprise return as the best course of action, meaning The Architect’s recovery journey may be kept under wraps.
It’s an unfortunate turn of events for Rollins, who seemed to be getting comfortable as the leader of his and Heyman’s faction. The exact nature and severity of the injury are still unknown, but with luck, Rollins will be able to get back in the ring before his chance at a title dissipates.
