Bild reports that Bayern Munich will not pay anymore than €60m for Liverpool and Colombia winger Luis Diaz.
It has previously been reported that the 28-year-old has indicated that he is open to joining Bayern this summer.
Internally, Bayern have set a threshold of €60m for the winger. Although Diaz will be 29 at the start of next year, meaning he has little to no resale value, this does not bother Bayern as they want to build a squad that will win the Champions League now.
Recently, the Rekordmeister have also been linked with Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku as the club continue their pursuit of a left-winger after being rejected by Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams. The recent injury to Jamal Musiala at the Club World Cup has made the situation in attack slightly worse as Bayern now need to find a stopgap for their talisman.
The name that continues to circulate is that of Nick Woltemade. The top scorer at the under-21 Euros is said to have agreed personal terms with Bayern, but his current club, VfB Stuttgart, will make negotiations difficult as they have no reason to sell, and Woltemade’s contract is valid until 2028.
