Kicker reports that VfB Stuttgart have tabled an opening offer for 1. FC Nürnberg’s Caspar Jander.
After agreeing personal terms with Caspar Jander, VfB Stuttgart have shifted their attention to negotiating a transfer fee with 1. FC Nürnberg.
According to Kicker, the Swabians have tabled an initial offer of €8 million for the midfielder.
Nürnberg, however, are holding out for significantly more.
An asking price of €20 million was initially floated, and as Kicker reports, it will likely take a fee well into the double-digit millions to persuade the 2. Bundesliga club to let the 22-year-old go.
Jander, who was part of Germany’s squad for the Under-21 Euros, is under contract with the 2. Bundesliga side until 2028.
He joined Nürnberg last summer on a free transfer from MSV Duisburg.
