The outflux of players at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Tuesday afternoon continued.
This comes amid confirmation that Ansu Fati’s long-awaited departure from the club has finally come to fruition.
Wide-man Ansu has of course positioned himself at the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over recent days.
As much comes after widespread reports were forthcoming, pointing towards the 22-year-old closing on a move to France with AS Monaco.
After struggling for game-time under the watch of new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick this past season, it had always been considered likely that Ansu would be on the move at some point this summer.
And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, precisely as much has been confirmed.
As per a statement across Barcelona’s official website and social media platforms, the club’s out-of-favour winger has indeed joined Monaco on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.
Ansu has also extended his contract terms at the Camp Nou through the summer of 2028.
